Early Life and Education:

Cote de Pablo is the professional name of Maria Jose de Pablo Fernandez who was born on November 12th, 1979 in Santiago, Chile.

When Pablo was 10-years-old, her mother, Maria Olga Fernadez, moved the family to Miami, Florida so she could accept a job at a Spanish-language television network. Pablo first began working at the age of 15 when she hosted episodes of the talk show "Control" which ran from 1994-1995.

While in Miami, Pablo attended Arvida Middle School and New World School of the Arts where studied musical theater. Since so many people in fifth grade could not pronounce her first name of "Maria Jose" she asked people to call her "Cote", a common Chilean shorthand for Maria Jose.
