Comedian chef Michael “Wheels” Parise grew up in an area known as ‘The Five Towns’ in Long Island, New York.

His family later moved to Florida where he earned his high school diploma from Citrus High School in Inverness, Florida. In 1986, he moved back to New York to pursue his dream at becoming a comedian and work with his mentor Chef Victor Parise.
In 1987 Wheels started performing stand up comedy in New York City. His natural talent earned him spots in New York comedy clubs such as Catch a Rising Star, Caroline’s, Improv and the Comic Strip.

Comedy was his only job after leaving culinary school. He stayed with family and performed in clubs at night. He befriended comedians such as Chris Rock, Adam Sandler and Eddie Griffin. During one of his performances, fellow comedian Andrew “Dice” Clay realized his talent and asked Wheels to open for him in a national tour.
In 1991, Wheels stared in a movie with Dice Clay called “ Dice Rules”. Eventually Wheels permanently moved to L
